Sounds good other than the fact I got layed off on Monday. I hope to be going back to work in a couple weeks though if it's not to much trouble could you hold on to it for me, if not I understand.

got your text...I can understand your view...lemme know when you're ready. But I still think you're able to do the swap easier if the trans is in your possession.

I THINK that would be the A43D if it's celica supra behind a 5m (unless you have an Australian Celica :P ). A bit stronger, and only very small differences in the ratios. Also... might be an A43DE, which is electronic.

BTW, Jake, A40D is a bit longer than the A30, so I've found. Driveshaft needs shortening, and the mount needs modification too.

Jake said he's going to hold off on the A40D and that I could swoop in on it. Can you deliver to tacoma by chance?

Also, do you have a second A40D? Thanks.

Okay, turns out SD's tranny came from behind a 20R. Anyone know if it'll bolt to an M motor?

I know alot of the same series transmissions will bolt on if you have the appropriate bell housing. Like a W58 will bolt to a w56 4x4 trans with the M series bell housing.

Oh geez... I was assuming the auto transmissions had bellhousings integrated into them. That's what I get for playing with old american cars too much. Alright, I'm all good then! Thanks.
