I had a great time. The wife is even more excited about her xb and what she wants to do to it. I liked the DJ that was there. He played a good variety. Don't have access to post the few pics I took. post up everyone!

...rest well-deserved, miku-san, but you lie!
HR post proves it...unless you had all that done before-hand and saved.
I'm glad I was outta there with Bri and Les because that aid car need a medic unit and defibrillator.

Great event as usual, tons of great old skool cars, inspiring to anyone attending. Thanks to all you people who showed up in the early Toys, love that stuff. Thanks to organizers for doing a safe, fun for everyone event again. Who ended up with the Celica? Wont forget my toy next year.

I had a ton of fun at the show, and cant wait for next year! Loved all the stuff going on food, auction, raffle lots of fun! I would like to make one suggestion, i think there should be 2 tercel categories, i dont think the 4x4 tercels should be in with the regular 2 and 4 door sedan. I mean we dont just have one "Pick up truck" categorie, just a thought ( ps I promised my buddy with the tercel i would mention this)

Problem is if only 5 tercels show up every yearwe have to put them together. Tell him just be glad he wasn't stuck in other with the cars that didn't prereg enough to get a category. We run the same system every year. If 5 or more prereg 3 Weeks before the show when we have to the ribbons they get a category. No one wanted to prereg until the last week so we based it off previous numbers.

Pre-registration is an option as is registration.
In that case, no penalty is fair if a participant exerts the effort to attend.
For attendance recognition is expected.
Not recognizing a participant for attendance makes it seem like it is too hard to adjust the size of a class.
The ability to adjust the size of a class the month, week, day or hour before the event is important.
The participant can adjust the size of the class only by not attending or attending.
The show management can adjust it at easily, why say an absence of ribbons prevents it?
It seems attendance should be encouraged and if a late-entry wins, they should get recognition without an award and an award can be given later.
But saying it is prohibitive to adjust the classes at any time penalizes attendees and sends a mixed message-
one is- "Why? Because we said so..."...
...diagnosis?
Perform self-check.

No Kenny, just no. People are rewarded for preregistration by saving money, we give that discount to encourage everyone to preregister. We want them to do that so we can hopefully get the bulk of the attendees listed so we know how much food to buy, how large of a parking section needs to be allocated for a certain model, how many awards need to be purchased, and to save everyone some time when checking in to the show. If we had categories for every toyota model and generation we would be throwing money away on awards, less people would encourage their friends to sign up with similar cars to get a category, and if we were keeping the current ballot counting system I would be shot on site by our volunteers. Right now I'll tell you the awards alone are over $550. Pleasing everyone would cost us well over $1000 and that would mean we would lose the little bit of profit we make off this event to keep the club running and offer new events and other items through out the year. In a perfect world I would love to have an award available for every class that shows up but in the real world it's just doesn't work.
If you'd like to offer change and not just lofty ideas posted in a philosophical format, we are going to be holding elections for a few new board members soon.

fact is we've come up with the system based on trial and error from past events, and this has been the easiest to maintain, stay cost effective and cause the lease amount of drama. No way to make everyone happy it seems, just make the least number of people unhappy with it as possible.
